How does missed call text back work?
Calls to your business number ring like they always do. If nobody picks up, the system sends the caller a short text from your business, in your words. Their reply comes to your phone so you can answer when you’re free.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. Your number stays the same. Depending on your phone company, either your missed calls forward to the text-back line or the text-back line sits behind your number. I set it up and test it with you.
Why does setup take a week or two?
US phone carriers require every business that sends texts to register first. It keeps spam down and keeps your texts from being blocked. I file it for you; approval usually takes a week or two.
What does the website answer box say?
Only what you tell me: your hours, services, the prices you already publish, your service area and how to book. If someone asks something it doesn’t know, it says so and offers your phone number. You can read every question people ask.
What if I get more than 300 texts a month?
Most small businesses don’t come close. If you do, I’ll tell you first and we’ll pick the right plan together. No surprise charges.
Is this the same as an answering service?
No one answers the call for you. It’s simpler: a quick text so the caller knows you’ll get back to them, before they try someone else.
